Having Babies.... Wait! Something's Missing...
Let’s face it. Having children, actually birthing them, is the easy part of the family equation. Even if you have no meds, no hospital and no doctors, it’s still the easy part. The hard and ongoing part is trying to keep the children alive, happy and well adjusted. In the beginning, parents, no matter the age, education or status, are just plain scared, baffled. You have this tiny, squirmy, “thing”, looking at you, urging you to do something. Without directions, you dive in; pray for the best, try to ask around, read here and there (when you have time, which you don’t) and then it all hits you. Yikes! YOU ARE IN CHARGE OF THIS!
